Confirm the exact model, preserve the code and seek help when the permitted user procedure fails or the fault returns. Do not repeatedly reset or open the boiler to look for a spark.

The type designation matters as much as the Vitodens name. This guide verifies the short F4 code against the BPJC document, not every 050-W, 100-W, 200 or 300 generation. A similarly named newer boiler may have a different control system and instructions.
