How we research our plumbing articles
Our articles explain practical problems, safe observations and decisions to discuss with a repairer. They are published by AK Plumbing London and are based on the sources linked in each article.
What counts as evidence
Manufacturer instructions, water-company guidance and official safety or housing sources support technical explanations. We use public homeowner discussions and reviews to understand symptoms, failed attempts and questions people need answered. Those accounts are unverified individual experiences, not AK customer testimonials or a survey of how common a fault is.
How we use AI
AI tools assist research, drafting and editing. They do not provide first-hand job experience or inspect a plumbing system. A generated explanation is not a substitute for a source. We do not present generated van illustrations as photographs of completed jobs.
Technical review and limits
These articles do not claim a qualified engineer has reviewed or tested every statement unless an identified review is shown. Follow the instructions for your exact appliance and arrange a competent assessment where needed. We avoid publishing instructions to open electrical covers, defeat safety devices or carry out gas work.
Useful detail, not repeated filler
Each article has its own customer question, clear answer, relevant supporting detail and links to its sources. Longer articles should make a decision easier; repeated location lists or generic sales paragraphs do not add evidence.
Prices and updates
Our pricing page records the owner-confirmed attendance and plumbing labour rates. Publication dates are preserved, and substantive article revisions receive an updated date. Prices from another business or an older discussion are not presented as our current charges.
Corrections
If a source has changed or an explanation needs correction, contact AK Plumbing London with the article address, the passage and the supporting source. Please do not post private customer or account information in public discussions.
